Harvesting Honey from a TBH!

So, here is a photo-montage on how I harvest honey from my TBHs! I hope you enjoy! It is really easy, here is what I use.

- 2 steel pots with lids

-Kitchen colander

- Heat source (this photo montage uses the stove on low to warm the solution below 33 degrees, but you can do it in the summer sun, I did this in May and it wasn’t warm enough out)

- Small Sifter

- Water (to soak the remnant wax in so that the wax settles and the water becomes your mead base!)

- Carboy and Champaign yeast (make mead while you are at it! Add the honeywater from seperating the honey from the remnant wax)
